Economic growth which means sustain increase in real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) or outward shift of Production Possibility Curve (PPC) which has great influence and impact on Environment. The environmental impact of economic growth includes exploitation of environment through unsustainable extraction of non renewable resources, Pollution (Air, water, land, and forest), Extinction and displacement of flora fauna. With the increase in output and consumption the cost imposed on the environment is also likely to increase and imposing threats to the environment sustainability. However, not all forms of economic growth are on the cost of environment. Individual and the nation have greater ability to devote resources for the environment protection and to mitigate destructive effects of pollution. Moreover, the economic growth imposed by advanced technology has less unsafe impact and promotes higher benefits with less cost on environment.
